Andrew (aka Sai Choong) is a Fellow member of CPA Australia, based in New Zealand. He has extensive experience in the private and public sector in general audit, consultancy, IT audit, internal audit and risk management.
Andrew is presently working part-time as a Risk and Compliance Advisor at a not-for-profit trust providing disability , youth and social services in Christchurch and Wellington, New Zealand. This allows Andrew the flexibility to offer his services (through GPS), to clients all over the world, either remotely or on-site for short projects.
Andrew has a client centric, outcome-focused approach to his work and has provided risk management, fraud mitigation, business advisory and internal audit management across various industries — from banking, finance, government to community, social development and healthcare — in South East Asia and New Zealand.
Andrew is passionate about identifying areas of risk and providing tailored solutions to mitigate these risks. He also has a keen interest in nature and the outdoors, minority representation in the workplace, mentoring the next generation, and building meaningful client relationships.
Clients and colleagues describe him as a valuable sounding board who gains trust and confidence from stakeholders, alongside his ability to bring people together with his disarming and respectful approach.
